Safety Guidelines
Our sailing yacht is registered with Transport Canada as a Recreational Sailing School Vessel. It is outfitted with all the mandatory safety requirements as outlined by Transport Canada plus several additional items relating to Crew Overboard & rescue.
We provide a safety briefing prior to leaving the dock to ensure that students know where all the safety equipment is stowed and how to use the equipment.
We file a sail plan with a list of all instructors and students on board, our destination and ETA for return prior to leaving the marina.
It is a requirement of Transport Canada and Sail Canada that all students and instructors wear an CSA approved pfd while underway.
